Cognition challenges which impede reasonable decision making and self inhibition such as how planning, theory or mind and integrated reasoning skills.
Emotional processing such as arousal control, understanding emotions and feeling, understanding social emotions, problem solving and managing social conflicts.
Counselling Vs Psychology
Counsellors and Psychologists have different degrees which enable them to complete similar intervention practices however Psychologists complete formal diagnostic testing such as the ADOS and Intellectual Testing.
Our Counsellors provide regular and ongoing intervention with neurodiverse clients including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder and Depression.

Our clinicians rarely use CBT as it does not suit individuals who have gaps in foundational skills as it expects understanding and application of skills.

Yes! All TK Clinicians are trained in SI and use large rooms with specialised SI equipment. All TK Clinicians are trained to informally and formally assess a person's sensory profile and understand how the profile impacts upon data integration and skill development enabling them to use SI intervention techniques to support their discipline of skills.
